Ascent Emergency Medical Center is continuously growing our team of compassionate and experienced emergency medical doctors, nurses, technicians, and support staff and we are currently looking to hire a PRN/Part-Time Patient Services Representative to join our team of professionals!!

Ascent EMC Patient Services Representative will :

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Obtain and record demographic, insurance & financial information into registration software with a high degree of accuracy.
• Answer calls in a pleasant manner and transfer to an appropriate department.
• Collect co-payments or other financial payments.
• Maintain till, financial logs and daily logs.
• Represent Ascent at marketing functions.
• Adhere to HIPPA compliance.

Successful candidates:

• Must be competent and knowledgeable of duties within a medical setting, including but not limited to filing, medical records processing, maintaining mail delivery, faxing, copying and scanning.
• Will demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to regulations of Ascent policies & procedures.
• Participate in performance improvement.
• Are available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements:

• Candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of front desk experience .
• High school diploma or GED
• CPR Certification ( Provided by facility )
• Candidate will have previous experience verifying patient insurance information.

Additionally, candidates will meet the following requirements:

· Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and billing/registration software.

· Proficient typing skills.

· Knowledgeable of various types of insurance.

· Effective communication methods and skills.

· Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
