This position will be responsible for moderate complexity testing in the laboratory located within the new CCP Now cardiac walk-in clinic.Responsibilities include:Collecting patient samples following proper patient identification and specimen labeling processes.Following laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and recording patient test results.Adhering to the laboratory's quality control policies and documenting all quality control activities.Operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation ensuring proper calibration and performance.Being capable of identifying and troubleshooting problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results.Following the laboratory's established corrective action policies and procedures and documenting actions taken.Complying with all laboratory safety standards, SOPs and regulatory requirements.Cross-functional collaboration with team members and other office staff to ensure patient safety, satisfaction and continuous quality improvement.Other Duties as assignedPhysical requirements:Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods of timeAble to lift up to 30 poundsAbility to discern colors for visually read testsDexterity to perform manual tasksExposure to blood and body fluids, chemicalsEducation requirements:Must have 6 years of relevant experienceMust have a B.S in Medical Technology or one of the biological, physical, or chemical sciences.Must have MLS(ASCP)Hematology, chemistry or generalist experience highly preferred#IND123Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
