Monday–Thursday: 24 hours of NP/PA coverage

Friday–Sunday: 12 hours of NP/PA coverage

Emergency Medicine residency completion required

ABEM BC/BE

New EM graduates welcome

Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license or qualifying IMLC

Active DEA with Louisiana address

Louisiana Controlled Substance license

Must meet requirements for supervising NP/PA providers

Case logs covering the past 2 years
-
CME documentation for the past 2 years
-
Current-season flu vaccination
-
TB documentation from the past 12 months or applicable chest X-ray

Health attestation completed by PCP or peer during credentialing

$100K/$300K malpractice coverage

Louisiana Patient’s Compensation Fund (LPCF) enrollment required; locums physicians must maintain enrollment for a minimum of 90 days at a time
Physician Shifts
NP/PA Coverage
ABEM-certified physicians actively participating in ABEM MOC: No additional merit badges required.
Board Eligible physicians: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required; AHA preferred. BLS required.
Credentialing RequirementsCross-credentialing is required at four affiliated locations.
