Must-Have:
- Two years of ER experience with trauma Level I and II in the past two years.
- Epic EMR proficiency required, used within the last 5 years.
- No more than 5 days of RTO.


Description:
Start dates are not flexible.
No cancellations of guaranteed hours are allowed.
The hospital has 52 beds and 4 trauma bays.
On average, the ER treats about 200 patients per day.
Ratios are 1:5 for medical patients and 1:6 for fast track patients.
The Trauma Level is 3, with the ER operated similarly to a Level 1 facility.
STEMI and Stroke patients are received, but those needing intervention will be transferred.
Floating requirements include a shared schedule with another facility, typically scheduled in advance.
RNs must be able to read their own telemetry while also having access to monitor tech.
There are 6 fast track beds and a separate triage area with quick look locations.
Holding areas are intermixed within the ER.
No seclusion rooms are available for psych patients.
Security is present in-house 24/7, located near the lobby of the ER.
Common diagnoses include a wide range of emergency needs.
Common drips for holding patients can be managed by the ICU team.
Medical staff, including MDs and mid-levels, work varied shifts.
There is no designated charge nurse on each shift; the house supervisor may assist when needed.
ED technical staff have 2 years of experience, while other patient care assistants may have less.
Respiratory therapists are present 24/7 for various treatments.
Dedicated CT and X-ray services are available in the ER, with a transport team for critical patients.
ED techs and RNs are responsible for lab draws.
Modified self-scheduling is in place with varied shift start times.
Weekend work expectations include 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block.
Holiday requirements typically include 2 shifts out of 5.
Scrub colors to be worn are navy blue.
Orientation includes one day of clinical/EPIC training and one day on the floor.
