Logistics and Receiving Coordinator

Job Description We are seeking a full-time Logistics / Receiving Coordinator to support our operations team by coordinating inbound and outbound freight activity, maintaining accurate shipment and receiving records, and assisting with operational reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in both office and warehouse environments. Responsibilities Coordinate with freight vendors to manage inbound and outbound transportation activities. Track, trace, and provide timely updates on shipment status. Request freight quotes, compare carrier options, and support transportation cost analysis. Maintain daily communication with carriers to confirm rates, availability, truck status, and estimated arrival times. Collaborate with customer service, logistics, quality, operations, and production teams to support all inbound and outbound activities. Verify inventory receipts and support stock integrity through accurate receiving documentation. Maintain and track operational data for key performance indicators and internal reporting. Support Operations and Production through ad hoc projects and process-improvement initiatives as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, transportation coordination, or a related operational role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external partners. Experience following detailed procedures in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications. Experience with SAGE BusinessWorks or similar ERP software is a plus. Prior involvement with purchasing or procurement activities is preferred.
