Supervisor, Conference Services

Supervisor, Conference Services – New York Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the firm's conference center, training and supervising staff, coordinating meeting logistics, and ensuring exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day conference service operations, ensuring meeting spaces meet firm standards. Train, coach, and evaluate the conference services team; manage hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, & development. Develop training materials, procedural guides, and best‑practice documentation. Schedule internal meetings and conference rooms using the firm’s reservation technology. Collaborate with Internal Events, Client Events, and other stakeholders to design and manage high‑level events. Maintain and improve conference room scheduling technology, including user support, reporting, and system enhancements. Recommend and implement enhancements to processes, technology, amenities, and workflows to improve efficiency and user experience. Conduct periodic audits of conference rooms, pantries, and support processes for compliance. Serve as liaison to catering, facilities, and other support services; review and approve catering charges. Manage time, attendance, overtime, and expense reports for the department; ensure compliance. Communicate performance expectations, conduct coaching, and manage unsatisfactory performance. Drive continuous improvement and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism. Qualifications Strong knowledge of conference services operations and Accruent EMS Software. Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to learn new software. Experience in corporate or fine dining operations. Knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and techniques. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to supervise others and administer firm policies. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Experience handling multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Discretion, sound judgment, and ability to manage confidential matters. Flexibility to travel and adjust working hours; regular on‑site presence required. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree. Minimum five years of hospitality experience in a professional services environment and at least three years of supervisory experience. Salary Base salary range: $120,000 – $135,000.
