Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients. Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders. Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Qualifications Minimum 6 months of experience (new graduates encouraged) or 1 year of experience for exceptional candidates. ASHA SLP National Certification and state‑specific licensing. BLS certification. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
