Job Description Classic Carriers is a family owned and centric refrigerated carrier based in Versailles, OH. In business for over 40 years, we need motivated and dependable owner operators to help us grow. Our lanes focus on freight from OH & IN to the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Upper Midwest. What We Offer 70% of load revenue including line haul, stop charges and delivery related accessorials 100% of fuel surcharge and weekend delivery (when applicable) 100% lumper and unloading reimbursement 80% of detention collected Additional Benefits Available to Owner Operators We pay your base plate and all permits (weekly payment if you have your own) Use of company fuel discounts through EFS/WEX fuel cards No trailer rental charges and we pay for all reefer fuel and trailer maintenance No escrow requirement Liability & Bobtail Insurance group rate available, deducted from settlement OCC/ACC insurance $132 per month (required unless you have Worker s Comp certificate) Weekly settlements Access to full service shop at our Versailles, OH yard to save on repairs and maintenance Samsara ELDs run on Samsung Galaxy Tab (no charge) Safety bonus is paid quarterly at $0.03 CPM per dispatched PRACTICAL mile (if qualify) Family rider policy after 90 days (immediate family only and must be age 14+) Fuel tax calculated and reported by Classic deducted from your settlement $1000 deductible for all accidents, trailer damage and cargo claims Access driver lounge with shower, free laundry facilities, kitchen, cable TV and recliners Owner Operator Qualifications Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) or enter our driver training program Must possess two years of recent verifiable experience, which can include military experience If have less than two years verifiable experience, can enter our driver training program to get certified Must be at least 21 years old Must possess acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) based on hiring standards No 15 MPH over speeding citations in past 3 years No DOT preventable, recordable accidents in last 5 years No felonies Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carriers (FMC) regulations Tractor Qualifications Must be in above average condition, clean and well maintained Must pass a DOT inspection Job Duties Operate tractor-trailer combination with reefer unit Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment Hook/unhook trailers Verify and complete required documentation and reports Maintain accurate daily logs Communicate with dispatch as required Demonstrate excellent customer service Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures Perform other duties as required Disclaimer: This job description is general in nature and is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of duties required of employees assigned to the job. #J-18808-Ljbffr
