About This Role The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Per Diem, Night What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease-specific assessment/data collection independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients/families and healthcare team members. Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized and timely manner. Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments and care. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress preferred. Experience: Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program. Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required by date of hire.BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
