Job Opportunity

Position Overview

This position involves a variety of responsibilities focused on patient care and imaging procedures. The selected candidate will review patient history and physician orders, educate patients about procedures and equipment, and ensure understanding and cooperation. Additionally, the role requires the preparation and administration of contrast media and medications, as well as constant monitoring of patient conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as necessary and within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond to any changes in status appropriately.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on imaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions as needed.
• Position patients and perform various imaging procedures.
• Analyze imaging results and identify any quality issues, taking appropriate action to resolve them.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification (must be from the American Heart Association).
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RD) and Computed Tomography (CT).
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology; completion of CT technology certificate program preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Radiology and CT.
• Flexibility to float between X-ray and CT departments as required.
• Willingness to work (4) 10-hour shifts with 50% on-call commitment, including every other weekend.
