Nurses will act as charge and are responsible for medication administration and wound care. The facility has a total of 26 beds for residents, caring for individuals with common diagnoses such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. There are no clinical involvement requirements in this role. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:10 during the day and 1:19 at night. There are no IVs or titratable drips involved in patient care. RNs are not required to read telemonitor strips, as there are no tele monitors available. The nursing team does not include supervisors. Physicians are accessible by phone after hours for any urgent concerns. The interdisciplinary team includes a social worker designated for patient needs. Required equipment includes oxygen concentrators and portable oxygen devices. Pharmacy services are off-site with a medication dispensing system in place. Shifts are scheduled as 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM with no blocked scheduling or self-scheduling options. Weekend requirements consist of every other weekend, with holiday obligations for every other major holiday. There are no floating or call requirements associated with this position. The dress code requires clean and presentable attire without specific uniform colors mandated. Orientation includes 2-3 shifts specific to the department. Candidates must adhere to a radius rule of 50 miles. Requests for time off must be disclosed upfront, with limitations on additional requests during the contract. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. Utilization of the MatrixCare/Matrix charting system is required. This position does not require a BSN. A valid nursing license is necessary for submission. This is a post-acute care setting.
