Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET)

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, integration, and performance testing. Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans. Identify, record, and track defects through the full lifecycle using bug-tracking tools. Build and enhance automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing. Participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards are met. Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and techniques to increase coverage and efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for prevention. Ensure continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) processes include robust testing. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar. Proficiency in writing automated tests for web applications, APIs, and microservices. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
