Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Special Education Teacher license (Adaptive or General Curriculum)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff

• Strong communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs within adaptive and general curriculum classrooms
• Provide specialized instruction, utilizing evidence-based strategies and interventions
• Assess and monitor student progress, documenting growth and adjusting plans as necessary
• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and education professionals to enhance student outcomes
• Foster an engaging, respectful, and supportive classroom environment for diverse learners

Role Details:

• Immediate start, assignment through May 21, 2027
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Focus on elementary caseload (K-5), with student numbers varying based on need
