Job Title: Travel RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ years preferred, 5+ years preferred License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, ALS, PALS required prior to start Must-Have Skills/Experience: Patient care of all ages Bedside shift report IV access Description: This position is focused on detox, but emergency room experience will be considered. It is essential to have experience with CIWA/COWS. The patient population includes ages 18 and older, with occasional 17-year-old patients. We treat a variety of conditions, including substance abuse, polysubstance abuse, alcohol withdrawal, and underlying behavioral conditions. Common treatments include medication tapers and rescue medications, along with routine and home medications. Support for current staff and adherence to facility standards are expected. A willingness to learn, work as a team, and respect department expectations are essential traits. The ability to remain calm in chaotic situations and listen well is crucial. A confident clinical judgment and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued. Personnel must adhere to dress code requirements for scrubs, avoiding logos or unacceptable attire. Education expectations are to be completed during the contract period. Floating to other departments may be required as needed but is not standard practice. All clinical staff must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date.
