About the Position

• Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible, Active NY license. Comfortable with trauma-level acuity and OR procedures. Ability to manage both adult and pediatric patients
• Schedule: Night Coverage: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  24-Hour Coverage: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
  This position will be for vacation coverage (9/25/26-10/4/26), may also need covereage around end of year holidays.

• Level I Trauma Center
• Must be comfortable managing both adult and pediatric cases
• OR coverage required (no dedicated block time)
• Anesthesia available 24/7
• New operating rooms opened January 2025
• Few overnight consults, rarely take anyone to surgery emergently (adult and pediatric) overnight, most surgeries are booked electively or within a few daus during the daytime. If locums coverage sees a patient they think will require surgery but not necessarily overnight, can transfer the care of the patient to practice physician. Same goes for clinic visits. Clinic work is not required.
