About the Position

Job Title: RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVICU - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 6 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with ECMO, Impella, Balloon pump, and VAD Description: This position is in a busy and fast-paced cardiovascular service line. The unit handles the highest acuity cases in the area. The scope excludes transplant procedures. Applicants must possess experience in managing advanced cardiac life support devices. The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. This is a dynamic environment that requires adaptability and strong critical thinking skills. Charting is conducted using a specific electronic health record system. The cardiothoracic patient population demands utmost attention and care. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in emergency response protocols and patient prioritization. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role. The role involves providing intensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
