RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 (must be comfortable with 1:5 ratio)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with floating to units within clinical skillset
• Care for adult patients with neurological conditions including neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, and medical overflow
• Unit includes 5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring
• Clinical skills required: cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care, medication administration, cardiac drips (no titration), respiratory support, rapid response, and isolation precautions
• 48 hours of orientation provided
• Accept first-time travelers
• Pending license accepted only if candidate holds single-state license from non-compact state

The facility is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence and affiliated with a medical school. It features advanced specialty care, a dedicated children's hospital, and is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center providing comprehensive stroke care with 24/7 neurointerventional coverage and advanced endovascular procedures. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
