Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Overview Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek is a brand-new 40‑bed inpatient rehabilitation facility opening in 2026. The hospital will provide high‑quality, compassionate care for a wide variety of patients through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. Schedule Per Diem Responsibilities Perform patient assessment. Establish a plan of care. Provide care in accordance with physician orders and the established plan of care. Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify treatment to achieve goals. Plan for discharge of patients, communicating with patients, family, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team to achieve rehabilitation goals and promote maximum benefits of care. Participate in performance improvement and program development activities. Provide input into the budgetary planning process, contributing to cost effectiveness of services and programs provided by the department. Assess educational needs of the patient, family, caregiver, or significant other and provide education to meet those needs. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a similarly titled area recognized by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association. Experience: Possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY).
