Job Summary RN Vent Unit Nights Shift: 7pm-7am, every other weekend, holidays/on-call as needed Location: Oneida NY Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience required Licensure: Active, unencumbered NY RN license required Specialized Skills: Ventilator or ICU experience required Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to residents per physician orders Administer medications and oversee medication pass on the floor Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs/CNAs, ensuring completion of duties Act as RRT on floor and coordinate with lead RRT on-site Assist residents and families, emphasizing customer service Schedule and communicate resident appointments to families/responsible parties Collaborate with physicians on rounds, orders, and resident care needs Update staff regarding changes/additions to resident care plans Enter physician orders into the computer system and notify pharmacy as needed Review consultations and update physicians as required Attend daily meetings as directed by Unit Manager/Supervisor Participate in resident care plan development and changes in level of care Delegate assignments, order medications/supplies, observe/chart vital signs Assist with wound care, prepare equipment, and help with personal hygiene Adhere to policies for controlled substances, narcotic counts, and documentation Use nursing judgment to evaluate and report resident changes Promptly record incidents, errors, or accidents Notify physicians promptly as needed Assist with resident dining, bathing, and incontinence care as required Report building emergencies or concerns to appropriate staff Report or ensure reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation Attend and participate in resident/family care meetings, IDT, and discharge meetings Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) #J-18808-Ljbffr
