Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level IV Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of acute care CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

60-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Stroke Ready facility

CT unit with 2 CT scanners sharing a back-to-back control room

Approximately 20 scans per shift per tech

Patient population includes outpatient, ED, and inpatient cases, including Level II Trauma scans, ranging from toddlers to adults with rare infant cases

Common procedures include stroke workups, brain CTAs, CT perfusions, and scans of the abdomen, extremities, spine, neck, and head

Equipment includes Canon scanners (80 slice & 40 slice)

EMR is Epic (preferred), PACS is McKesson, and med dispensing uses Pyxis

8-hour evening shifts, 3:30pm-11:30pm, Monday-Thursday

40 standard hours per week on a set schedule

No on-call requirements

No floating required

Requirements

ARRT (CT) certification required

BLS certification required

WI license required if applicable

Minimum 2+ years of acute care CT experience required

First-time travelers considered only with 10+ years of CT experience

Comfortable working independently with stroke and brain CTA cases

Canon and Toshiba scanner experience highly preferred

Experience with IV starts, CT perfusions, and biopsies/special procedures preferred

Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

Support team includes 2 CT Techs during days and 1 after 6:30pm, an Imaging Patient Assistant, Radiology Nurse until 4pm, in-house Phlebotomy, House Supervisor for after-hours IV support, and a Lead CT Technologist on-site during day shift

RT, MRI, and X-ray coverage available 24/7

Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and 3 days of unit-specific orientation

Weekend rotation applies per posted schedule

Will work holidays if they fall on a scheduled day

RTO requests go through the unit manager for approval

Scrubs must be any solid, professional color with no graphics, logos, or designs

Free parking available on-site

Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions

Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
