Position: Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician

Location: Macon, GA

Compensation: To be determined based on experience and assignment requirements

We are seeking an Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician to perform aircraft structural repairs, sheet metal fabrication, and related maintenance tasks. This position requires the ability to work with aircraft structures, identify damage, and complete repairs in accordance with applicable technical data and established quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience with aircraft sheet metal work, structural repairs, and aircraft maintenance procedures. Strong attention to detail, technical problem solving, and a commitment to safety and workmanship are essential for this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft structural repairs and sheet metal maintenance on aircraft components and assemblies.

• Inspect aircraft structures to identify damage, defects, corrosion, and other discrepancies.

• Fabricate, modify, install, and repair sheet metal components as required.

• Interpret aircraft drawings, blueprints, structural repair manuals, and applicable technical documentation.

• Remove and replace damaged structural components in accordance with approved repair procedures.

• Perform drilling, cutting, forming, fitting, and riveting operations as required for aircraft repairs.

• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal equipment to complete assigned tasks.

• Verify completed repairs for accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable technical requirements.

• Complete maintenance documentation accurately and report discrepancies requiring additional attention.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while collaborating with other maintenance personnel.
