DHS Cheer Assistant Coach

DHS Assistant Cheer Coach Converse County School District #1 is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Cheer Coach to join our extracurricular team. This is a unique opportunity to positively impact the youth in our community and build lasting relationships with students. Job Goal Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills and strategies of cheerleading. Build positive relationships with student‑athletes to promote character development, discipline, and confidence in the sport of cheerleading. Duties and Responsibilities Have a thorough knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the Converse County School District #1 Board and implement them. Serve as a mentor to each athlete to promote development. Monitor the student‑athlete’s grades and conduct. Supervise all practices, games, and travel. Provide training rules and any other regulations of the sport to each athlete. Assist in completing paperwork for all athletic injuries and submit proper forms to the athletic office within 24 hours. Help organize parents, coaches, players, and guests for preseason meetings. Maintain good public relations with news media, the booster club, and parents. Requirements Must be present for all practices, games, and competitions. Salary dependent on experience. Extra Duty Salary Schedule: Category 8, Step 1: $3,570.00.
