Senior AccountantAs a Senior Accountant at GTI, you will be responsible for supporting operational accounting and financial functions of the Managed Services Accounting team. You possess strong business acumen with the ability to effectively address both financial and operational challenges. This position is based at our Chicago office with a hybrid schedule (2 days per week in office).ResponsibilitiesOversees the financials of the Managed Services Accounting team including expense reports, corporate card transactions, payroll entries, intercompany billbacks, vendor billing, travel billing, and badging expensesPerforms period-end financial close responsibilities, completing tasks accurately by the given deadlinesMaintains ownership of multiple shared email inboxes and supports internal customers by researching travel and expense inquiriesReconciles corporate card transactions, prepares entries, and communicates report status to cardholdersReconciles payroll expenses and prepares journal entriesReviews employee expense report batches, prepared by Staff AccountantReviews intercompany billback reconciliations and entries, prepared by Staff AccountantReviews consolidated vendor billing and vendor aging reconciliations, prepared by Staff AccountantAnalyzes monthly flight credits and communicates reminders to travelersWorks directly with the Manager, Accounting to prepare violation reporting and analyze employee compliance with the company's Travel & Expense policyEffectively communicates and collaborates within the Accounting team and cross functionally to ensure proper workflow and adherence to standard operating policies and proceduresPartners and leads special projects and process improvement initiativesEngages in ad hoc projects as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting3+ years of experience in an accounting roleAdvanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office requiredExperience in Sage Intacct and SAP Concur preferredHighly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulnessAdapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environmentSuperior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externallyPossesses a high level of critical thinking, attention to detail, and accuracyOperates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential informationAdditional RequirementsMust pass any and all required background checksMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industryMust possess valid driver's licenseMust be a minimum of 21 years of ageMust be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industryOur Mission: To promote well-being through the power of cannabis.We're humble— We prefer quiet confidence and don't shout about our success.We're hardworking— We put our heads down and get the job done.We're grateful— Working in our industry is a privilege and an act of service.We're transparent— Honest and open communication keeps us healthy as an organization.We're collaborative— And believe good ideas can come from anywhere.We have a growth mindset— One that's grounded in well-being.At Green Thumb we believe that our corporate community should be a reflection of the communities we serve. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.Green Thumb Pay Range $80,000 —$90,000 USD
