Occupational TherapistThe Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a highly qualified, dedicated, and licensed Occupational Therapist to join our Special Education Team. The Occupational Therapist supports students' ability to participate fully in educational activities by assessing and addressing physical, sensory, and developmental needs. This role focuses on helping students develop, recover, or maintain skills necessary for academic success and daily living within the school environment.Primary Responsibilities:Evaluate students' functional abilities using standardized assessments, observations, and collaboration with staff and familiesDevelop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans aligned with IEP goalsProvide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to studentsCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student successAdapt classroom environments, materials, and activities to improve student access and participationMonitor student progress and maintain accurate, compliant documentationParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisionsProvide training and resources to staff and families regarding student needs and strategiesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and district regulationsQualifications:Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programCurrent, valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Missouri (issued by the Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy)OTR RequiredKnowledge of federal and state special education lawsCompetitive Salary and Benefits Package:Salary schedule placement on Grade J of the Administrative Salary Schedule.
