We're driven by a passion for innovation, teamwork, and creating meaningful impact.Key Position Details:1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)8-hour night shiftEvery 3rd weekend rotation includes both Saturday & SundayJob Description:Performs waived to highly complex medical laboratory tests in different areas of the lab. May have oversight as a key operator of a work area and participates in the development of technical procedures, forms, misc. documents, method validation, and implementation. Trains students and new employees, and participates in the direct observation of staff for the annual competency program. Additionally, may function as Charge Tech in absence of Lead/Supervisor/Manager. CLIA Role: Testing Personnel Moderate complexity testing Testing Personnel High Complexity testing.Performs waived to highly complex laboratory procedures.Accurate and timely collection and processing of specimens.Customer service and patient order management.Administrative duties.Maintains safety, education, and competency requirements.CLIA defined responsibilities.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related laboratory field including clinical rotations or equivalent routes as specified in CLIA '88Licenses/Certifications:Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) certification by a recognized agency such as ASCP, AMT, or NCA in specialty area incumbent will be working in. If not certified, must obtain certification within 180 daysPhysical Demands:Light Work:Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequentlyPay Range:$38.67 to $52.47 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
