Massanutten Academy – Woodstock, Virginia

Massanutten Academy is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and student-focused educator to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 academic year. Located in the beautiful foothills of the Massanutten Mountains in Woodstock, Virginia, Massanutten Academy provides a structured, supportive environment where students are challenged to achieve academic excellence, develop leadership skills, and grow as responsible citizens.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree required

· Master's Degree preferred

· Teaching experience in English, Language Arts, or related fields preferred

· Strong communication and classroom management skills

· Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, parents, and cadets

· Commitment to fostering a structured and disciplined learning environment

Duties and Responsibilities

· Teach English 9, English 10, Personal & Professional Skills 11 & 12, and other courses as assigned

· Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives

· Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and cadets

· Maintain an accurate and up-to-date grade book

· Mentor cadets through weekly advisory meetings

· Participate in occasional weekend duties and school events

· Adhere to all Academy policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook

· Help maintain and foster a structured, disciplined, and positive classroom environment

· Support the Academy's mission of academic achievement, leadership development, and character education

Employment Requirements
