Title: Technical Accounting Senior Manager
Status: Full-Time Remote
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 (depends on geographoc zone)
Bonus: Eligible

This senior-level accounting position will serve as a technical accounting authority, providing guidance on complex, unusual, and emerging accounting matters. The role will research and interpret U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, develop well-supported accounting conclusions, and collaborate with finance, legal, tax, treasury, compensation, and business teams.

The position also contributes to external reporting, accounting policy development, SOX compliance, audit coordination, and the implementation of significant accounting changes.

• Analyze complex, non-routine, and potentially material transactions and prepare comprehensive technical accounting memos.
• Monitor new accounting standards, ASUs, SEC guidance, and emerging accounting developments.
• Lead the assessment and implementation of significant accounting changes.
• Provide technical accounting guidance across revenue, stock-based compensation, leases, EPS, debt, equity, investments, business combinations, and related areas.
• Review and approve Chart of Accounts changes to ensure appropriate account mapping and financial statement presentation.
• Support Form 10-Q and 10-K workpapers, including technical accounting and non-routine transaction areas.
• Manage designated SOX controls and maintain documentation suitable for internal and external audit review.
• Coordinate with external auditors on walkthroughs, evidence requests, and accounting-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with compensation teams on stock-based compensation forecasting.
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and operational teams on the accounting implications of new transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Use established Big 4 accounting research resources and other technology-enabled research and automation tools to improve technical accounting processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Active CPA license.
• At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Significant Big 4 public accounting experience; technical accounting or national office experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct technical accounting research and prepare clear, defensible accounting position papers and memos.
• Experience with public-company accounting, SOX controls, and external audit processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting topics including ASC 718, ASC 842, ASC 606, EPS, debt, equity, investments, and business combinations.
• Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Experience in fintech or SaaS environments.
• Experience using NetSuite and/or Oracle.
• Experience with Workiva and Workiva Wdata.
• Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Familiarity with Big 4 accounting research platforms.
• Experience with AI-enabled research, automation, or productivity tools.
• Ability to operate independently in a high-volume financial close environment.
