Laser Operator 2nd shift

Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Laser Operator for a Corporation in Whittier, CA. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting equipment used in the fabrication of precision components for commercial and mission-critical furniture systems. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to produce quality parts while meeting production and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are accurately cut and prepared for downstream manufacturing processes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up, calibrate, and operate laser cutting machines according to work orders, blueprints, and production specifications. Load materials and select appropriate machine programs to perform cutting operations. Monitor machine performance and production output to ensure quality and efficiency. Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards. Identify defects, material inconsistencies, or machine issues and report findings to supervisors. Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting. Maintain accurate production and maintenance records. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Safely handle raw materials, finished products, and scrap materials. Collaborate with supervisors, quality personnel, and production team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Previous manufacturing experience in a production environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer skills and ability to operate machine control systems. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Experience operating laser cutting equipment. CNC machine operation experience. Experience working with sheet metal, steel, aluminum, or other manufacturing materials. Knowledge of dimensional inspection tools such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions. Visual ability to inspect materials and finished products for accuracy and defects. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Work Environment Manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and noise. Requires adherence to strict safety and quality standards. Frequent interaction with metal materials, fabrication equipment, and production processes. Use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe footwear as required.
