Serova - Founding Product Engineer

Serova designs personalized mRNA cancer vaccines (founded 2024, 20 people, $35M raised). Founding role owning product end to end: design, frontend, backend.

Comp: $185K-$205K base (flex for exceptional) + 0.05%-0.25% equity. Location: On-site 5 days (SF or London); remote only for exceptional; relocation case-by-case. Visa: Open to visa transfers (OPT, H1B transfers).

Responsibilities

• Build Serova's first patient- and clinician-facing product on top of internal data (antigen prediction, vaccine design, case status)

• Rebuild the scientific dashboard from scratch: UX, visual design, implementation

• Work with clinical, wet lab, manufacturing and engineering teams to design workflows

• Build internal tools/front-end services (data access, follow-ups, CRO/manufacturing processes) on one shared DB

• Lead new product surfaces concept-to-production (Postgres, Python, React/TypeScript)

Tech stack: React, TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL

Source:

• 1-6 yrs full-time engineering, owned a product end to end (FE+BE), ideally 0-1 at Seed-Series B

• Real product and design taste; ships without spec/designer/PM

• Track record of products non-engineers used

• Bonus: design-engineer profile, dense-data/scientific UIs, founder or first-10 employee

• On-site 5 days in SF or London
