Must-Have:
- Strong outpatient and consultative experience
- Comfortable evaluating common surgical issues
- Experience reviewing imaging and managing wound care
- Ability to determine when patients need operative intervention off-site
- Skilled in clinic-based surgical assessment
- Ability to work independently within correctional workflows

Description:
The ideal candidate is a board-certified general surgeon.
They should be comfortable evaluating common surgical issues.
The candidate will review imaging and manage wound care.
They must determine when patients need operative intervention off-site.
No surgeries are performed in the clinic.
The surgeon will run on-site general surgery clinics.
They will see new consults and follow-ups.
Duties include assessing surgical complaints.
The candidate will manage minor wound or post-op issues.
They will review outside imaging or operative reports.
Adjusting treatment plans is an essential responsibility.
The surgeon will advise staff on triage and referral decisions.
All care is outpatient and non-procedural within the clinic space.
The role will help address a backlog of patients to be seen.
Support staff will include a nurse.
The expected patient load is approximately 10 per day.
