Investment Banking Associate

We are partnered with a well-established middle market investment bank seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in Chicago. This role will work closely with senior bankers on live M&A and capital markets transactions across sectors including asset management, insurance, fintech, specialty finance, depositories, and financial technology services. The team has a strong pipeline and offers meaningful execution responsibility, client exposure, and a clear path to VP. Responsibilities Build financial models and valuation analyses for FIG transactions Prepare pitchbooks, CIMs, management presentations, and board materials Support sell-side M&A, buy-side advisory, and capital raise processes Conduct industry research across financial institutions sectors Coordinate diligence with clients, buyers, lenders, and advisors Mentor Analysts and review work product Requirements 2–5 years of prior investment banking experience REQUIRED Experience working on closed transactions Strong modeling and valuation skills Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar Why This Role Strong FIG deal flow in the middle market High visibility with senior bankers Clear path to VP Chicago-based team with strong culture #J-18808-Ljbffr Engtal
