Primary Purpose
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Life, Title IX, Title VI Coordinator and ADA Compliance (AVP), the Associate Dean of Student Conduct and Community Standards serves as the Senior Conduct Officer and a member of the AVP's leadership team. The Associate Dean is responsible for the administration of the student code of conduct, prevention, on-going education and programming in compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements. This position requires a high degree of interpersonal skills and effective communication associated with crisis intervention, meeting with diverse students, and interactions with staff and faculty. The position requires access to and management of confidential information and requires discretion and independent judgement. Because this position has crisis intervention and on-call responsibilities, some after hours and weekend work are necessary. A central component of this role is cultivating strong, effective campus collaboration and partnerships across the university. This includes building and sustaining close working relationships with Fraternity and Sorority Life, academic units, academic deans, key student life partners, and other key campus stakeholders. The individual in this leadership position is expected to engage proactively with faculty, staff, and administrative leaders to advance student success, reinforce a culture of integrity, and ensure that conduct and academic integrity practices remain aligned with the institution's educational mission. Essential Functions
- Leads and directs the collaborative development of unit policies, procedures, and programs relative to the Student Code of Conduct and that support students' ethical reasoning and collegiate success.
- Oversees the student conduct review (adjudication) process for all matters referred to the department, including administrative and board review hearings, and employs policy to ensure procedural protections, fundamental fairness, and access for all parties.
- Implements the adjudication process to include procedural compliance with institutional, state, and federal mandates that include selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of conduct board members and serves as an administrative hearing officer and appeals officer as needed.
- Responsible for identifying and administering in person and online educational programming for the prevention of high-risk behaviors in compliance with state and federal regulations including Title IX, Drug Free Schools and Communities Act, and the Clery Act.
- Provides prevention, ongoing education, and intervention programs and services that foster a positive and safe environment for students involved in the conduct process.
- Conducts formative and summative evaluation of student and unit data and utilizes findings to inform leadership, improve programming, and submits biweekly reports to the AVP about the unit.
- Utilizes student information systems including Maxient, Banner, and Salesforce to manage cases and evaluate programming and interventions; Understand and follow FERPA, HIPAA, and other relevant laws and regulations, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.
- Serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator under the supervision of the AVP and Title IX Coordinator
- Serves on the CARE Team and Behavioral Intervention Team.
- Responds as needed to emergencies and students experiencing personal crises after hours by participating in the CARE Team/Dean on-call rotation.
- Manages the Student Academic Grade Grievance process in consultation with faculty and other academic partners.
- Responsible for unit's budget management and staff supervision.
- Serves on various campus and Division committees.
- Assumes and performs other duties as assigned.

* Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in higher education administration, counseling, student affairs, or a combination of education and related experience.
* Five (5) years' experience in student conduct, residential life, prevention programming, or other relevant areas of student affairs or demonstrated related work experience.
* Knowledge of Relevant Laws and Policies including but not limited to FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, VAWA, ADA/504, etc.
* Demonstrated commitment to the values of access, inclusion, and diversity in higher education.
* Outstanding verbal, writing and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with students, faculty, staff and all external constituencies.
* Proficiency in computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite, databases, electronic communication, and web based applications. Preferred Qualifications
* Experience responding to crises and behavior intervention.
* Ability to develop and implement key performance metrics and foster a climate of data decision making.
* Experience in program design, management, and implementation as well as assessment and evaluation.
* Experience in management of budgets and personnel.
* Strong organizational skills to work independently and to prioritize workload under the pressure of competing assignments and dynamic deadlines and enhance diversity and inclusion.
* Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. * Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting. * Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
This is an in-person role, and the successful candidate must be willing to relocate within California, preferably within 25 miles of the Stockton Pacific campus.
Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with use of computer and phone. Work performed during standard business hours of Monday - Friday, 8am to 5 pm. Nights and weekends may be necessary for on-call duties and to attend division or university events. Occasional travel to other campuses may be required. Valid driver's license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University's fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. $100,000 - $105,000 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. Background Check Statement
