We empower our team to embrace personal development, technology and diversity to deliver unparalleled service.We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dockworker for our Tolland, CT location.Responsibilities:Proper loading in and out of trailersHandle goods and equipment properly to avoid damage or breakageSort and label skids and place in proper locationsPerform inventory count based on bills of lading, trailer manifests or packing slips when loading and unloading goods and when loading and unloading shipments and returnsAssist drivers in loading / unloading of goods or equipmentPerforms daily routine inspection to forkliftMaintain good housekeeping around dock areaStack goods neatly and safelySubmit needed reports and information in a timely mannerPerform basic arithmetical calculations including addition, subtraction, division and multiplicationAssist supervisor in providing on the job training to new staff, participants, clients and volunteersLoad and secure shipments according to proper procedureUnderstand and implement safe, efficient freight handling and lifting proceduresOther duties as assignedRequirements:One year forklift operating experienceWork any shift, for any of the 7 days of the week, as well as overtime as neededAbide by and enforce the policies and procedures of FFETimely and efficient completion of tasks and responsibilitiesPromote teamwork and cooperative effortThe statements above are intended to describe the general nature of the list of job requirements and/or duties performed by the employees and may not contain all capabilities necessary to perform the job at all times due to circumstances.
