Senior Executive Compensation Analyst - Hybrid Chicagoland

Job Description Summary: The Senior Analyst, Executive Compensation supports the design, administration, and governance of compensation programs for the Company’s executives, including base pay, annual incentives, and long-term equity awards, aligned with the Company’s pay philosophy and regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities Manage key activities for the executive compensation cycle, including data collection, analysis, modeling, approvals, and implementation for base salary, annual incentive and long-term incentive programs. Review and administer company incentive programs, including plan design support and distribution of plan materials and communications. Administer executive equity programs and maintain equity data integrity (grants, vesting, forfeitures, cancellations, audits/reconciliations, and reporting) in coordination with HRIS, Finance, and Legal. Serve as the equity system administrator, including platform configuration/support, user access, data uploads and reconciliations, and coordination with the vendor and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate equity records and reporting. Maintain compensation governance and compliance documentation, including controls, approvals, and audit support, aligned with regulatory and internal requirements. Conduct executive benchmarking using third‑party survey data and peer group analyses; prepare pay positioning, competitiveness, and trend insights to inform executive officer compensation decisions. Support annual proxy and CD&A disclosures by gathering, validating, and reconciling executive compensation data; maintain documentation for disclosure tables, footnotes, and controls. Deliver recurring and ad‑hoc compensation reporting (e.g., compensation summaries, equity activity, and incentive accruals/payouts), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and audit readiness. Compile and deliver monthly compensation accrual inputs for Finance (e.g., annual incentive accruals, projected payouts, and equity‑related expense/award activity support), including reconciliations and variance explanations. Prepare analyses and content for Compensation Committee and leadership materials, including executive pay recommendations, benchmarking summaries, and incentive plan performance results. Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and external advisors to deliver timely analyses, respond to executive compensation inquiries, and support compliant communications. Improve executive compensation processes and controls through data audits, system testing, and reconciliations to reduce risk and increase efficiency. Collaborate with Total Rewards and other HR functions to ensure executive compensation programs integrate effectively with broader rewards strategies and operational processes. Perform other duties as required or requested. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does NOT have supervisory responsibilities. Basic Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Human Resources, or a related field. 2 years of executive compensation, equity administration, and proxy experience. Basic Qualifications Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential executive compensation information with discretion and sound judgment. Working knowledge of executive compensation program components: base pay, annual incentive design/admin, and long-term equity awards. Experience with executive benchmarking, including use of compensation surveys/market‑pricing tools and peer group analysis. Knowledge of compensation administration practices, data integrity controls, and documentation standards; experience supporting equity administration preferred. Ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines while producing accurate, audit‑ready analyses and materials. Working knowledge of regulatory and governance considerations related to executive compensation and disclosure (e.g., proxy/CD&A support) and the importance of internal controls. Highly advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, and building/reviewing models for incentives, accruals, and executive reporting); proficient in PowerPoint and Word. Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills, including clear communication with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders. Travel Requirements Willing to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs) Master’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration preferred. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred; Certified Equity Professional (CEP) a plus. Experience supporting public‑company executive compensation processes, including proxy/CD&A data preparation, executive benchmarking, and Compensation Committee materials. Proficiency in Workday HCM, including reporting and data extracts that support compensation and equity administration. Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders while managing peak‑cycle deadlines. Compensation Pay Range: $88,853.42 – $148,111.54.
