Job Description
Community Education Music Instructor for All Ages (Youth to Adult) Part Time Position The Community Education Department is seeking passionate and skilled music instructors to join our growing lessons program. If you enjoy working with students and sharing your love of music, we'd love to hear from you! We are currently hiring piano and guitar instructors based on program needs. Ideal candidates will have a degree in music education, music performance, or a related field-or equivalent education and experience. A background check is required. Program DetailsInstructors provide 30-minute individual lessons for students ranging from youth to adult participants. Lessons are offered year-round during the following sessions:
- Spring (January-May)
- Summer (June-August)
- Fall (September-December)
- Share your passion for music with a wide range of learners
- Flexibility to teach your own curriculum
- Create a schedule that works for you, with flexible days and hours
- School year hours: 4:00-8:00 PM
- Summer hours: 12:00-6:00 PM
- Teach in convenient Sioux Falls School District elementary school locations
- Community Education handles student registration, scheduling, and payments-so you can focus on teaching
