Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following:Provides direct patient care under direction of provider and nurses, including but not limited to:VitalsAllergy & medication reconciliationScreeningsPatient historyHealth maintenanceAdvance directivesVirtual healthProvides indirect patient care related to the Medical Assistant scope of education, including but not limited to:SchedulingWork queues / WorklistsCheck in/check outReferralsIn-basketChart prepNon-clinical patient result callbacksPrior authorizationsTransportation facilitationConducts point of care testing including quality control & documentation including but not limited to:EKGHemoglobin A1CUrinalysisHemoglobin POCTUrine toxicityINRQualifications:Education: Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic Certification OR relative experienceExperience: In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.We take great care of careers.
