Position: Phlebotomist
Location: National City, CA
Schedule: 8am-5pm Tuesday to Saturday
Projected duration: 3 months
Pay rate: $23.00 per hour

Overview:
Looking for a skilled phlebotomist to assist with various tasks, troubleshooting, training, and workflow suggestions.
Responsibilities:
Skills in blood extractions, sample labeling, specimen centrifugation, maintenance record-keeping, decontamination, patient information updates, etc. Properly explains venipuncture and other collection procedures (e.g., urine, fecal). Demonstrates technique with both straight and butterfly needles. Understanding physician orders is crucial. Matches requisition forms to specimen tubes, labels, centrifuges, splits, freezes, and packages specimens. Follows protocol for storing samples and ensures accuracy of labels and requisitions. Familiarity with OSHA and DEP regulations, attends annual trainings, answers calls, and provides lab results.
Requirements:
Must have a valid Phlebotomy certification in the state of employment, along with 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, High School Diploma or GED, and 1-4 years of experience.
