Piedmont Columbus Regional dates back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small building on the Chattahoochee River. It is now the regions healthcare leader, offering compassionate care and an unwavering commitment to patients. Piedmont Columbus Regional consists of two hospitals, a cancer center, and over 35 physician practice locations. Piedmont Columbus Regional joined the Piedmont family in March 2018. Midtown Campus is a 583-bed, acute care hospital and features a regional Level II trauma center, one of only six perinatal centers in the state with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and is the only Piedmont facility with a Childrens Hospital. It has been home to the Family Medicine Program since 1972. Piedmont Heart combines a Level I Cardiovascular Center, with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, healthcare professionals and physicians, providing quality, compassionate care for patients with cardiac, thoracic and vascular conditions, with 180+ cardiovascular physicians and surgeons providing care at over 20 cardiology offices across the state of Georgia.
