This role involves developing personalized care plans and collaborating closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote independence and improve quality of life.Essential ResponsibilitiesAdhere to professional standards and privacy regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and external agencies.Perform occupational therapy services within the scope defined by licensing authorities.Assess patient needs accurately and develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans.Provide care to patients across the lifespan, from newborns to geriatrics.Educate patients and families on therapy goals and care strategies.Complete timely and precise documentation in accordance with organizational policies.Offer clinical guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants.General ResponsibilitiesPerform additional duties as assigned to support the department and organization.Education and ExperienceEducation meeting licensing requirements at the time of licensure.Preferred: Previous experience in a similar clinical environment.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent Occupational Therapy licensure through the appropriate state board.Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.Driver's license and auto insurance if the position requires driving.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.Effective communication skills with patients and interdisciplinary teams.Basic computer proficiency.Physical RequirementsThis position involves medium work, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently up to 10 pounds.
