Basic FunctionHF Sinclair Refinery, located in El Dorado, KS, is looking for a Supervisor Maintenance E&I. The successful candidate's primary duties will oversee certain functions and activities of the Maintenance Department, supervising and coordinating technical resources to support area maintenance department; providing leadership and human resource management; resolving problems and issues as they arise; overseeing safety performance, maintenance/reliability of unit, clerical responsibilities, and cost control with minimal supervision. Comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.Job DutiesOversees quality of work, safety, and overall performance of assigned staffEnsures that all mechanical craft work is completed as scheduled per procedure and plan.Plans, organizes and oversees all work schedules for assigned employeesAssists engineering as neededCoordinates with operations in scheduling equipment for repairs, and construction (depending on assignment), and developing work plansProvides training, mentorship and coaching for subordinates and peersAttends & actively participates in scheduled trainingComes to work on-time, positively motivated, & fit for duty (both mentally & physically)Describes & reinforces HF Sinclair One Culture (Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Ownership)Gives honest best effort on the job & requires the same of othersTreats fellow employees with respectTakes personal responsibilityMonitors and enforces contractor compliance to all refinery safety and environmental regulationsTracks head count and verifies timesheets to ensure cost and schedule compliancePerforms on-call dutiesSupervises relief to other maintenance management personnelOversees departments yearly budgetLeads safety discussions and demonstrate leadership behavior that reinforces safety policies and culture Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretionExperienceA minimum of seven years of related job experience is required. Preffered Expereince: Refining experience is preferredEducation LevelA minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, is required.Required SkillsKnowledge of refinery operationsSpecific craft knowledgeProven interpersonal skillsSelf-starter and safety sensitiveTroubleshooting skills and ability to function effectively in a team atmosphereKnowledge of welding and equipment operationSignificant experience working with job-related equipmentAbility to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbalBasic reading and writing skillsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculationsReading and interpreting process and craft-specific drawings, diagrams, sketches, schematics, blueprints, and P&IDsResponds appropriately to emergency situationsPreferred Skills:Trade school or journeyman/craftsman trainingCertification in Crane and Rigging Inspector CertificationUses time management skills to effectively prioritize daily tasks and activitiesEffective meeting management techniquesAble to make decisions and resolve problems in a timely mannerSupervisory/Managerial ResponsibilityResponsible for the supervision of up to 15 employees. May be responsible for oversight of up to 50 contract employees.Work ConditionsField based with up to 5% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver environment, including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, and working in confined spaces. Required to respond to plant related emergencies and be available after hours during critical business situations depending on location.
