Manufacturing Engineering Technologist IIRenewal by Andersen is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist II at our Cottage Grove, MN location.This position is responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing organization at our Renewal by Andersen location in Cottage Grove, MN. Primary focus will be on monitoring, controlling, and improving existing manufacturing processes, and to ensure customer and business needs are met.Position primary responsibilities include:Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processesCollaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance to solve issuesTroubleshoot problems with other technical employees, suppliers, and outside expertsBecome the SME on specialty processes on supported linesDrive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solvingCreate training tools, documents, and standard operating procedures for production processesProvide training, instruction, and guidance to production associatesPartner with the Safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirementsParticipate in continuous improvement activities and eventsPresent technical information or proposals to team membersAccurately assess ergonomic conditions within the manufacturing environment and provide practical solutions to eliminate ergonomic riskOffer assistance/mentor for less experienced technical employeesConduct testing related to introducing product improvements into the manufacturing processResponsible for supporting the implementation and stabilization of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)Position qualifications and skills include:4-year degree in technical field or equivalent experience5+ years of experience preferred with mechanical aptitudeDemonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principalsStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsCommunicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skillsKnowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor)Some travel during on-boarding would be valuable, primary location Cottage Grove, MNPay range: $62,960.00 - $94,440.00Culture and benefits:401 (k) Plan, Employer Fixed Contributions & Company MatchingProfit Sharing*Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage*Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)*, Health Savings Account (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)Life InsurancePaid Time Off & Paid HolidaysPaid Maternity Leave & Paid Parental Leave*Career Growth Planning & Nationwide Career Opportunities*For employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement, some benefits may differ or may not be available based on the terms of the agreement.Profit sharing: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
