Role Description The Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in the midwest including Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and South Dakota. This position oversees daily field operations, including managing construction schedules, supervising subcontractors and crews, and coordinating with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications. The role includes monitoring site progress, enforcing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and resolving issues that may impact quality, timelines, or budgets. The Construction Superintendent is also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, supporting budget and cost controls, and upholding Plex Construction, LLC’s standards for communication and professionalism on the job site. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Construction Site Management skills, including supervision of crews and coordination of subcontractors. Candidates should possess Construction Safety knowledge, including enforcement of safety policies, OSHA awareness, and commitment to a safe work environment. Candidates should possess solid Organization Skills, including scheduling, documentation, and attention to detail. Candidates should possess Budgeting and cost control abilities to help keep projects within financial targets. Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication. Relevant experience as a construction superintendent or similar field leadership role in commercial construction. Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contracts. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Proficiency with basic construction software and digital tools for reporting and scheduling.
