It is a short-term child-oriented program designed to provide crisis intervention and stabilization to ages 3yrs-13ys (Children) and 14yrs-17yrs (Adolescent). One of the primary goals of the treatment team and therapeutic community is to teach and encourage children and adolescents to use positive behavioral strategies and skills to cope better with stressful situations or overwhelming emotions. Our aim is that our patients will then use this more effective way of coping in their home and community following discharge from the hospital.What You’ll Do:Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Safety Attendant will provide 1:1 observation, assist to provide care and prevent the patient from harm.
