Job Description

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' level of functioning upon physician orders.
• Plan and implement appropriate treatment based on assessments.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning.
• Complete documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students.
• Promote customer service and continuously improve quality metrics.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families at their level of understanding.
• Demonstrate good safety techniques regarding patient, self, others, and equipment.
• Participate in scheduled conferences and team meetings.
• Document discharge plans and relevant patient education regarding equipment use.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid and current State license as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy.

Schedule

This position operates on a Day 5x8.0 schedule.
