Systems Engineer, Mid

Role Overview Join a mission-focused team supporting the modernization, automation, and secure delivery of enterprise IT capabilities. As a Systems Administrator, you will help maintain and evolve our Windows-based infrastructure while developing hands‑on experience with PowerShell automation, system hardening, and security operations in a structured, DoD‑aligned environment. You will work alongside senior engineers and IT leadership to administer core Windows services, build automation solutions, and support the reliability and security of enterprise systems. This role provides a real growth path — with the opportunity to deepen your skills in cloud services, DevOps tooling, and infrastructure automation as you mature in the position. Qualifications Experience administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation, system management, and reporting Experience supporting patch management, software deployment, and system hardening activities Experience with endpoint security practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities Knowledge of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and VLANs Ability to follow through on issues to resolution, troubleshoot, and pay strict attention to detail Ability to document configurations, procedures, and runbooks Ability to obtain a Secret clearance HS diploma or GED DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, including CompTIA Security+ CE Preferred Qualifications Experience with Omnissa Horizon VDI environments, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting virtual desktop infrastructures to ensure optimal performance for users Experience with Microsoft Azure — Azure AD or Entra ID, Azure Virtual Machines, or Azure resource administration Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline concepts, or infrastructure‑as‑code Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection platforms, or vulnerability scanning solutions Experience with Agile team workflows and ceremonies Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Compensation & Benefits Salary is determined by factors such as location, education, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
