In this role, you will help shape pricing decisions that support revenue expansion, margin optimization, and a strong competitive position in the marketplace. You'll partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Finance, and IT to translate complex data into actionable insights and ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented and measured. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical expertise with commercial acumen and a strategic mindset. They are a trusted partner who can influence stakeholders across the business, turning insights into recommendations that drive meaningful business outcomes.Responsibilities:Execute on pricing strategies to support business objectives and profitability targetsAnalyze competitive benchmarks, customer behavior, market dynamics, and cost structures to inform pricing decisionsCreate pricing targets and establish performance benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategiesLead various pricing cycles, including price book rollouts, customer specific price renewal analysis, and troubleshoot issues across system integrationsPerform cross-channel and customer segmentation pricing analysisDevelop pricing recommendations across the product lifecycle, including NPI pricingEvaluate deal-level pricing strategies to optimize margins and financial outcomesLeverage SQL and Python to structure and analyze large datasets for pricing optimizationAutomate pricing recommendation, standardization, and process improvementsDevelop and maintain Power BI dashboards to support pricing analytics, performance tracking, and executive reporting; comfortable operating as a Power BI developer supporting end users and leadershipAd hoc evaluation of pricing requests, discounts, and deal-based pricing scenariosMonitor pricing compliance and adherence to corporate pricing policies and governance frameworksPrepare executive-ready insights, reports, and recommendations on pricing performanceWork Environment:Location: Denver, Co Environment: On-site, officeQualifications:Advanced SQL experience building and optimizing complex queries, joins, and data transformations across large, relational datasetsAdvanced proficiency in ExcelProven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven recommendationsStrong analytical and financial modeling skillsHands-on experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems (e.g. SFDC, Model N)Broad understanding of end-user applications and AE products; familiarity with power supplies or semiconductor equipment is a plus but not requiredExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior stakeholdersDevelop Python-based solutions to extract and analyze competitor data from APIs and other data sources (preferred)Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development and data visualization (preferred)Experience:5+ years of pricing, commercial analytics, or finance experienceExperience supporting manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or B2B business environmentsExperience with price book management, discount governance, and pricing approval frameworksEducation:Bachelor's degree in Pricing, Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related fieldCompensation:As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
