Lead complex HVAC and chiller service programs from kickoff to closeout

We are looking for a seasoned project leader to guide commercial and industrial HVAC, chiller, and mechanical service projects from initial planning through successful completion. You will collaborate daily with customers, field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver work that is safe, efficient, on schedule, and on budget.

A day in this role

You start by aligning on scope, estimates, and contracts, turning customer requirements into a practical plan. Midday, you’re on the phone with a vendor to secure long-lead equipment, then in the field aligning schedules with technicians and subcontractors. In the afternoon, you update forecasts, review change orders, and brief leadership on financial and operational status. Throughout, you are the steady hand—protecting safety, maintaining quality, and ensuring the client always knows what’s next.

Core outcomes you'll drive

• Establish clear project objectives by analyzing estimates, scopes of work, contracts, and customer expectations, then lead effective kickoff meetings.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with customers, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and internal partners.
• Provide steady leadership and guidance through all phases of assigned projects.
• Plan and coordinate schedules, labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other resources to execute work successfully.
• Oversee financial health—budgets, costs, change orders, billing, and overall profitability.
• Produce accurate forecasts and report financial and operational performance to company leadership.
• Anticipate risks and implement solutions that safeguard safety, timelines, quality, and client expectations.
• Continuously review progress and proactively resolve issues that could impact cost, schedule, or customer satisfaction.
• Partner with field teams to verify work meets plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes.
• Own customer communications, delivering timely updates on status, schedules, costs, and potential changes.
• Support estimating, proposals, change order development, and project closeout activities as needed.
• Keep meticulous project records using company systems and digital workflows.
• Champion a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Spot opportunities to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and deliver added value to customers.

Experience that sets you up for success

• At least five years in mechanical construction, commercial HVAC, chiller service, or a closely related field.
• Background managing mechanical, HVAC, chiller, or service projects preferred.
• Strong history coordinating field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
• Experience overseeing project budgets, forecasts, RFIs, change orders, and financial performance is preferred.
