Stem Learning Lead

As a STEM Learning Lead, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide a cohort of middle school students through hands-on project-based learning activities focused on either Technology or Healthcare. You will play a crucial role in inspiring the next generation of diverse STEM professionals by fostering their interest and confidence in STEM fields. Who Should Apply? Individuals who enjoy mentoring youth and creating engaging learning experiences. Future educators, engineers, healthcare professionals, technologists, researchers, designers, and innovators who want to give back to their community. Key Responsibilities Mentor & Lead: Co-facilitate hands-on STEM lessons for a cohort of 15–25 middle school students alongside another Learning Lead. Inspire Learning: Deliver engaging STEM activities that spark curiosity and connect students to real-world careers. Empower Students: Guide youth through collaborative projects that solve real-world and community challenges. Collaborate: Work with STEAM & Dream staff and school partners to create a positive learning experience. Support Growth: Share feedback and ideas to help improve future programming. Qualifications Currently registered as an associate, undergraduate, or graduate student in good academic standing, pursuing STEM trade certification, or having relevant professional experience in the offered fields. Availability for at least 10 hours per month per semester (20-30 hours per semester). Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills. Ability to work with diverse individuals and promote inclusivity in STEM. Access to transportation for travel to and from program locations. Experience working with youth or a passion for youth and workforce development. Background checks and mandated reporter training are required (STEAM & Dream will guide you through these items).
