Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

Description This contract position presents an exciting opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest level of medical services to our patients. As a vital member of our emergency medicine team, you will engage in a variety of challenging cases and contribute significantly to patient care. Your role entails evaluating and treating patients with acute medical conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes while working in a supportive and professional atmosphere. Responsibilities Assess and treat patients in an emergency setting Stabilize patients and provide immediate care for acute conditions Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations Collaborate with nursing and support staff to enhance patient care Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately Participate in ongoing medical education and training Manage emergency medical procedures following established protocols Promote a safe and welcoming environment for patients and families Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license in Florida Completion of an emergency medicine residency or equivalent experience Strong clinical skills and the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to patient-centered care and professional integrity Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications Flexible schedule, day & night shifts 183 beds Must be board-certified ACLS & BLS certifications required Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr
