Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role based at Carrollton Regional Medical Center in the Dallas, TX area. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders across inpatient and outpatient settings. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing evidence-based interventions for speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders. The role involves close collaboration with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, patients, and families to support functional communication, safety, and quality of life. The Speech Language Pathologist will document services in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements, participate in interdisciplinary meetings, and contribute to patient education and discharge planning. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and the assessment and treatment of Speech and Communication Disorders. Candidates should possess expertise in evaluating and managing Dysphagia, including swallowing assessments and treatment interventions. Candidates must be independent in performing MBSSs. Candidates should possess skills in diagnosing and treating Language Disorders, including expressive and receptive language and cognitive-communication impairments. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Experience in acute care is required; familiarity with interdisciplinary care and electronic health record documentation beneficial.
